Frank Kotal

Aug. 15, 1872 - June 28, 1960

Friends of Frank Kotal, 2130 S. Carlisle St., may call after 2 p.m. Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Kotal died Monday in Fraser, Mich., where he was visiting his daughter, Mrs. Betty Doyle.

 

He was born in Austria, Hungary, on Aug. 15, 1872, and came to South Bend 61 years ago from there.

 

He was a retired Singer Manufacturing Co. employee.

 

Surviving besides the daughter are another daughter, Mrs. Mary Dumas of Granby, Colo.; a son John of South Bend, and 11 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

 

Mr. Kotal was a member of the St. Stephen’s Society of St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church.

Funeral service for Frank Kotal, 2130 S. Carlisle St., will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church with Rev. Edwin C. Bauer CSC, pastor, officiating.

 

Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

 

Father Bauer will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home.
