SOUTH BEND - Ilona Kovacs, 81, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 4, in Regency Place. She was born May 21, 1927, in Sopron, Hungary. Mrs. Kovacs is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alex (Carol) Kovacs of South Bend; three grandchildren, Cory, Lindsay and David; two great-grandchildren; and a sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, in January 1986.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 8th, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 829 W. Calvert St., South Bend. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, is handling arrangements.
