KOWALIK, FRANCES, 88, of St. Petersburg, died Friday (April 26, 1991) at Bayou Manor Nursing Center. She came here in 1988 from her native South Bend, Ind., where she was a housekeeper for a college. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Lukasiewicz, St. Petersburg, and Helen Blalock, Indian Harbor Beach; two sons, Eugene, South Bend, and Joseph, Homosassa; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Frances Kowalik, March 2, 1903 – April 26, 1991

South Bend – Frances Kowalik, 88, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Friday in Bayou Manor Healthcare Center, St. Petersburg. Mrs. Kowalik was born March 2, 1903, in South Bend. As Frances Szalewski (should be Zalewski), she married John Kowalik, who died in 1944. Her second husband, Anthony Kowalik, died in 1944. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Lukasiewicz of St. Petersburg and Helen Blalock of Florida; two sons, Eugene of South Bend and Joseph of Homosassa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no visitation.  (note: John and Anthony Kowalik were brothers)
