Ezella S. Kraft

Oct. 22, 1915 - Aug. 9, 1998

If I could, I'd give you my eyes just for a moment to see you as I do.

Then maybe you would see for yourself this beautiful person

Who matters so much to all who have the privilege of sharing her life.

Mrs. Ezella S. Kraft, 82, formerly of Jamestown Court, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Sunday even-ing, Aug. 9, following a long illness.

She was born on Oct. 22, 1915, in Tazewell, Tenn., to Hugh R. and Ester (Treece) Kraft, who both preceded her in death. On August 22, 1936, in Middleboro, Ky., Ezella married the late Fred Kraft, who died in 1974. Ezella was also preceded in death by two sons, James and Richard.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Avery Kraft (Penny) of Agoura Hills, Calif., and Stephanie Kraft of Chapel Hill., N.C.; a great-grandchild, Connor Kraft; a sister, Jessie Leabow of New Tazewell, Tenn; and by two brothers, Frank Standifer of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and M.J. Standifer of Tazewell.

Mrs. Kraft worked part time for the Frances Shop in South Bend, Ind., and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star #2, Messiah Shrine #10, and White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a volunteer for United Health Services, past president and secretary of the South Bend Progress Club, and was past president of the South Bend PTA.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, with Rev. Edward Fritz officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home, where a Star service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
