Sister Mary Theotima Krakowski CSC

Sister Mary Theotima CSC, died this morning at Saint Mary’s Convent. She was born in 1909 in South Bend and attended St. Adalbert’s parochial school here, and was graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. As Anne Clare Krakowski, she entered the Congregation of the  Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1928, receiving the habit the same year. She made her profession of vows in 1930. Her teaching posts were at St. Hedwig and Holy Cross Schools in South Bend; LaPorte; Elkhart; Plymouth; Anderson and Gary, Ind.; and Cairo, Morris, Harvard, Danville and Evergreen Park, Ill. Prior to he retirement because of failing health, she was stationed at the Provincial House in South Bend, going to St. Mary’s Convent in 1965. Survivors include a sister, Sister M. Paulette OSF of Livonia, Mich.

 

The requiem mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary’s with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call at the convent parlor today and Friday.
