SOUTH BEND - Edward L. Kreps, 79, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 8 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Kreps retired from Yellow Cab Co. as a driver after 30 years of service.

He was born March 15, 1915, in South Bend. He is survived by a sister, Esther M. Batton of South Bend; two nieces, Joy Rightsell of Michigan City and Jackie Cook of South Bend; and two nephews, Jon Kreps and Joseph Kreps, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Cremation will take place. Friends may call one hour before services in Thursday in the funeral home.
