SOUTH BEND - Mary Krochmal, 77, of South Bend, died on
Saturday, April 19, 2008, in Hospice House. She was born in Opp,
AL, on May 26, 1930, to Jack and Maxie (Woodall) Lee.
Mary was preceded in death by her second husband, John Krochmal
in November 2004; two sons, James and Jack; three sisters, Ruth,
Theda and Martha; and two brothers, Dan and Sarge. She is
survived by a son, Don Grantham of Mishawaka; and a
sister, Edna Nolta of Shakopee, MN; six grandchildren and
nine great-grandchildren. Mary was a member of Prince of Peace
Church of The Brethren in South Bend. She worked for 25 years at
South Bend Toy. Mary enjoyed going to the Blue Chip, going to
garage sales, and loved having family dinner events.
Friends may visit with the family on
Wednesday, April 23, 2008, in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main
St., from 2 to 4 p.m., with a memorial service at 4 p.m., with
Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Memorial contributions may be made
