SOUTH BEND – Miss Harriet H. Kroll, 77, of South Bend, Ind., passed away in her residence on Friday, Feb. 7, after an illness.

 

She was born on Sept. 26, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

 

Harriet retired in 1995 from the staff of Catholic Charities of the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese. She was the program coordinator of the Harvest House Groups from 1973 until the present. She was also involved with the Foundation of the Forever Learning Institute.

 

Harriet is survived by three sisters and a brother, Wanda Kroll of South Bend, Henrietta Scholz of South Bend, Rita Wleklinski of Hammond, Ind., and Leo J. Kroll of LaPorte, Ind.

 

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, Henry Kroll in 1980, Joseph Kroll in 1989, Matthew Kroll in 1995 and Mary Loranc in 1973.

 

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas F. Lemos, C.S.C., and Rev. Louis J. Putz, C.S.C., officiating.

 

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Services will originate at church on Monday, Feb. 10.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, to St. Joseph County Hospice, Inc., to The Harvest House Centers, or to the Forever Learning Institute.
