Cecelia Julia Kronewitter

Feb. 17, 1877 – May 7, 1940

Mrs. Andrew Kronewitter, aged 63, of 724 E Fourth Street, died at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in St. Joseph Hospital, on the day of funeral services for her sister, Mrs. Daniel Shafer. Mrs. Kronewitter had been ill six months of heart trouble. She was born in this city Feb. 17, 1877, and spent her entire life here.

 

As Cecelia Julia Handwerger, she was married Aug. 30, 1900 in Mishawaka to Mr. Kronewitter who survives. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Clarence and Ronald Kronewitter, and two daughters, the Misses Irene and Helen Kronewitter, all of Mishawaka, a grandchild, a brother John Handwerger of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Raab of Argos, Ind., and Mrs. William Matz of LaPorte, Ind. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

 

The body may be viewed at the residence from this evening until the funeral, which will be held at 9 p’clock Saturday morning in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. George Lauer will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, The members of the Rosary society will meet at 8 o’clock Friday evening for recitation of the rosary
