Emma Kronewitter

Jan. 27, 1864 – Mar. 18, 1939

Mrs. Charles M. Kronewitter, 75, of 114 S. Wells Street, died at 9:40 o’clock Sunday night in St. Joseph  Hospital. She had been ill six months. Mrs. Kronewitter was born Jan. 27, 1864 in Goessitz, Germany, and came here 73 years ago from Germany.

 

As Miss Emma Kreutz she was married Jan. 12, 1886 in Niles, Mich. To Mr. Kronewitter, who died April 1, 1938. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard Mecklenburg and Mrs. William Hoerstman of this city; five sons, Carl H. Kronewitter of Detroit, Mich., Wilfred , Bernard F. and Theodore T. Kronewitter, of this city, and Raymond A. of South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Mary Unruh of Niles; a brother, Fred L. Kreutz of Mishawaka; and a half-sister, Mrs. Charles F. Montine, this city, and 18 grandchildren.

 

Last rites were conducted Wednesday morning in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
