Geraldine A. Kronewitter, 85, of Mishawaka, passed away during the early morning hours of June 20, 2014, in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 18, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Joseph and Anna (Kolany) Burkowski. On June 4, 1949, in Mishawaka, she married Albert F. Kronewitter, who preceded her in death on June 5, 1997. Geraldine was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was active with the Young at Heart Club, the Rosary Society and also the Forresters. Geraldine also sold Avon cosmetics for many years. Geraldine is survived by her children, Rachel Basham, Karen (Randy) Workman, Allan Kronewitter, Edward (Bonita) Kronewitter and Colleen (Rick) Siri. She was the grandmother of 10, Randal (Gina) Workman, Jeff (Margaret) Workman, Carey (Brian) Matthews, Aubrey (BJ) Walls, Allyson Kronewitter, Thomas Kronewitter, Stacey (Joe) Peavy, Ricky (Melissa) Siri, Zach (Jennie) Siri, and Abby (Josh) Hill; and step-grandson, Justin Basham; and a great-grandmother of 20, Derek, Ryan, Ben, Evan, Ethan, Carley, Jillian, Cooper, Lindahl, Grant, Tyler, Kylie, Corey, Ashleigh, Annabelle, Ellia, Everett, Leighton, Connor, Chelsie and Colby. Geraldine is also survived by her sister, Grace Burkowski; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Florian and Arthur; and a son-in-law, Bryan Basham. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 2 until 6:00 PM in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd, at 10:00 AM in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, with Father Terry Fisher officiating. Burial is to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka
