Kunigunda Maria Kronewitter

June 29, 1835 – Feb. 10, 1912

Mrs. Kunigunda Maria Kronewitter, a resident of the city for over 50 years, died Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Miss Elizabeth Kronewitter, 323 South West Street, death being due to diabetes and its complications from which she suffered for about a year.

 

She was born in Eieb, Bavaria, Germany June 29, 1835 and came to this country 53 years ago. In the same year, in March 1869, she became the bride of John Kronewitter who died 26 years ago. Seven children survive this union; three daughters, Misses Elizabeth and Mary Kronewitter, and Mrs. Frank Huba, at home; four sons, Charles and August of Mishawaka; Henry of Uniontown, Pa.; John Kronewitter Jr. of Toledo, Ohio.

 

The deceased was a devout Catholic and a charter member of the Rosary society of St. Joseph church. The funeral was held on Tuesday morning from St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. L. A. Moench, officiating.
