Chester George Kuespert, Sr.

Chester G. Kuespert, Sr., 77, of Mishawaka, Ind., died of natural causes at 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, at St. Joseph's Medical Center.

 

Mr. Kuespert was born on June 22, 1920, in South Bend, Ind., to George and Pheba (Freel) Kuespert.

 

On June 14, 1952, he married Josephine Deutsch, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Larry Kuespert of Mishawaka; a brother, Jack Kuespert of Granger, Ind.; two sisters, Faye Rhymer of South Bend and Barb Willis of Lydick, Ind.; three granddaughters, Betsy Faulkenburg, Becky Kuespert and Billie Armstrong; and by six great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild and one step-great-great-grandchild.

 

Mr. Kuespert was preceded in death by a son, Chester G. Kuespert, Jr.; two brothers, Benjamin and Walter Kuespert; and by two sisters, Lois Kuespert and Viola Temple.

 

Mr. Kuespert was employed by Fuller O'Brien Print for 33 years until his retirement in 1981. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942 to 1945, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 in Mishawaka.

 

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Ind. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memory Gardens, Osceola.
