Robert G. Kuhl

Robert G. Kuhl, 70, of Torrey Pines, Laguna Vista, Texas, formerly of Granger, Ind., passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, in Sunshine Heaven Hospice, Olmito, Texas.

Robert was born on May 1, 1933, in Mishawaka, Ind., as the son of the late Glen and Ina (Borror) Kuhl. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Kuhl.

On Aug. 31, 1957, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married the former Frances La Dow, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Leigh Ann (Brett) Roberts of North Richland Hills, Texas; two sons, Mark (Michele) Kuhl of Carmel, Ind., and John Kuhl of Weatherford, Texas; and by six grandchildren, Cory, Tyler, Bethany, Jacob, Elizabeth and Matt.

Robert was a computer programmer for Associates Corporation and then for Vought Aircraft in Grand Prairie, Texas, from where he retired in 1999. He was a big Notre Dame football fan, loved watching his beloved Fighting Irish play through good years, and in not so good years Robert never gave up on his team. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be truly missed but never forgotten by all who knew and loved him.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 9, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Eldon Miller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to Sunshine Heaven Hospice, Olmito.
