Elizabeth M. Kuhn

Mishawaka – Mrs. Elizabeth M. Kuhn, 88, formerly of Mishawaka, died at 2:15 a.m. today in the Americana Nursing Home, Elkhart, following an illness of five months.

 

She was born in April 17, 1884, in Mishawaka and had resided since 1959, moving there from her birthplace.

 

As Elizabeth M. Steif she was married in 1904 in Mishawaka to Frank E. Kuhn, who preceded her in death.

 

Surviving are a son Otto Kuhn of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs Ellen Johnson of Elkhart; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Steif of South Bend and Walter Steif of Mishawaka, and three sisters, Mrs. Lena Cooley and Mrs. Rose Ganser, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Frank Beutter of Mishawaka.

 

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where arrangements are being completed.

 

Mrs. Kuhn was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Elkhart.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth M. Kuhn, 88, formerly of Mishawaka will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

 

Mrs. Kuhn died early Saturday morning in the Americana Nursing Home, Elkhart.

 

Officiating at the funeral services will be Rev. William Gieranowski, pastor of the church, and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
