Otto A. Kuhn

MISHAWAKA – Services for Otto A. Kuhn, 84, of 513 W. Jefferson Blvd., who died at about 9:30 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

 

Mr. Kuhn retired in 1970 from Midland Engineering Co. He was born May 15, 1905 in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident. On June 9, 1926, in Mishawaka, he married Alta “Toni” Cook, who survives, along with a daughter, Helen M. Heiser of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Helen Johnson of Elkhart.

 

He was a charter member of the Church and served on the Usher Board, member of Knights of Columbus Lodge 553 and was founder of their blood donor program, past navigator of Father Nieuwland Assembly Fourth Degree, and a member of Nocturnal Adoration Society of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in South Bend, the Catholic Order of Foresters and Sheet Metal Workers International Association.
