Sister Mary Mainarda Kullmann CSC

Sister Mary Mainarda CSC, 83, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died Wednesday in the convent infirmary after a long illness. She was born Margaret Kullmann in Bavaria, Germany, Feb. 4, 1876.  She came to this country in 1904 and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in the same year, making her profession of vows in 1910. She spent her community life at St. Mary’s Convent with the exception of an assignment in Fort Wayne at Sacred Heart Academy. Surviving are five nieces, all members of the Sisters of the Holy Cross; Sister M. Chrysanthus CSC of St. Mary’s; Sister M. Crescentia CSC, of Michigan City, Ind.; Sister M. Dolorissuma CSC of Fresno, Calif.; Sister M. Hermengild CSC, of South Bend; and Sister M. Louis Gonzague CSC, of Norfolk, Va.

 

The requiem high mass will be held at the convent chapel at 6 a.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in the chapel with burial in the community cemetery.
