MISHAWAKA - Robert Charles Kuss, 85, of Grand Rapids, Mich., formerly of Mishawaka, Ind., died on Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998.
He was preceded in death by his wife Hope, and by a grandson, Andrew R. Kuss.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Susan) Kuss of Columbus, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Betty McIntyre of Mishawaka, Jane (Robert) Williams of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Dr. Jana (Henry) Oettinger, Hope (William) Auerbach, Michael (Sharon) McDonnell; great-granddaughters, Emily and Mary Auerbach; and by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kuss owned and operated the Kuss Bakery in Mishawaka which closed in 1974, and was an employee of Williams Distributing.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, Rev. Kenneth Blood and Chaplain Carol Flietstra officiating. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bourbon, with visitation one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or to Hospice of Holland Home.
