Eleanor K. Kuusisto, 81, of South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, in her residence.

Mrs. Kuusisto was born on Dec. 20, 1919, in Detroit, Mich., and had lived in South Bend for 22 years, coming from Detroit. She retired from Curtis Products after 15 years of service. Her husband, Arvo A. Kuusisto, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura P. (Darl) DePoy of Indian Lake, Mich., Loretta P. (Harold) Jedrzejewski of South Bend; two sons, Ronald M. (Sheri) Meserve of Lansing, Mich., and Andrew A. (Karen) Kuusisto of South Bend; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and by a sister, Angeline Bianchi of Clinton Township, Mich.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 13, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Internment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, or to the American Cancer Society.
