Martha Kuzmicz

August 12, 1897 - September 27, 1969

 

Mrs. Martha Kuzmicz,72, of 1118 N. Johnson St., died at 12:15pm Saturday in St Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness.

 

She was born August 12, 1897, in Poznan, Poland, and lived here most of her life.  She was married November 15, 1916, in South Bend to Anthony Kuzmicz, who died in 1967.

 

Surviving are five sons, Raymond of San Francisco, Edwin, Aloysius, Frank and Norman, all of South Bend; two brothers, John & Chester Slomski, both of South Bend; five sisters, Mrs. Louise Kapalczynski, Mrs Helen Niezgodski, Mrs. Clara Kopinski, Mrs. Adeline Cytacki and Esther Wesolowski, all of South Bend.

 

Friends may call after 7pm today and from 10am -9pm Tuesday in the St Joseph Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 10am Wednesday in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Rev. William Neidhart, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

 

She was a member of Poland Resurrected Society, Polish Women's Alliance Group 305, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Hallers Post 125, Polish Women's Alliance Group 305 will recited the rosary at 7:30pm today and the parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Tuesday.

Funeral Note

Among the survivors of Mrs. Martha Kuzmicz, 72, of 1118 N. Johnson St., who died at 12:15pm Saturday in St Joseph's Hospital, are 12 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Severyn Kaczmarek of Elgin IL and Mrs. Margaret Bass of Niles.  Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home.
