Erma T. Kuzmits (April 16, 1918 – August 5, 2008).

SOUTH BEND - Erma T. Kuzmits, 90, passed away at 7:15pm Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in the Sanctuary of St. Paul’s.

Erma was born on April 16, 1918 in South Bend to Daniel and Julia (Salamon) Papp. On July 18, 1942 as Erma Papp she married Joseph F. Kuzmits. He died on December 24, 1994. Mrs. Kuzmits was also preceded in death by a brother Dan Papp and two sisters Irene Zoludow and Anne Papp.

Surviving are two daughters Denise (Kurt) Crowel of South Bend and Annette (Thomas) Urbanik of Madison, WI; two sons Greg (Kathy) Kuzmits of North Liberty and Joseph J. Kuzmits of South Bend; 3 grandchildren Carrie (Jayme) Fuzey, Mark Kuzmits, and Colin Crowel; and 4 sisters Louise Oram of Alameda, CA, Phyllis Mannion of Chico,CA, Julie Brooks of Colliersville, TN and Gizella Simmons of South Bend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, August 9, 2008 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 5:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church.

The Kuzmits family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of Erma’s angels on the 3rd floor healthcare at the Sanctuary of St. Paul’s who offered special care, friendship and love to her for the past 3 ½ years. We have all been truly blessed to have you in our lives.
