Sue Ellen Ladewski, 39, of Temecula, Calif., died unexpectedly at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Sharp Memorial Hospital, Murrieta, Calif. Sue Ellen was born March 30, 1957, in South Bend, Ind., to Stanley and Jeanne Ladewski, both of whom survive.

She is also survived by a sister, Michaelle Bartek, Niles, Mich., and her husband, Larry; a niece, Lisa Bursch and her husband, Paul of Costa Mesa, Calif.; an aunt, Genevieve Speer, Chicago, Ill.; and uncles, Eugene Ladewski, South Bend, and Fr. Roman Ladewski, CSC, Notre Dame. Sue was employed by the Rusty Pelican Restaurant corporate offices, San Clemente, Calif., as a receptionist and insurance counselor. She was a graduate of Clay High School, South Bend, class of '75.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at St. Stanislaus Church, Fr. Roman Ladewski will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
