MISHAWAKA - Betty J. Lane, 80, of Mishawaka passed away on Friday, December 7, 2007, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Betty was born on May 11, 1927, in South Bend to the late Ernest & Helen (Drake) Clark Sr.

Betty married Milton H. Lane in 1946 in South Bend, Milton passed away in 1983 Betty is survived by two sons, Michael (Tina) Lane of Mishawaka and Timothy C. Lane of South Bend. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, Michael J. Lane and John (Amber) Krause, both from Mishawaka, Debbie L. Hertel of South Bend, Paul G. Hertel of Mishawaka, Timothy Lane Jr. and Justin Lane, both from Chicago and Daniel Lane of South Bend. Betty was also a great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren. Betty was a caring and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. Betty is also survived by a brother, Ernest (Mary) Clark Jr., of Connersville, IN. and many nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded in death by a brother, James O. Clark and his wife Ann. Betty was formerly employed as a Housekeeper at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, retiring with almost thirty years of service. Betty enjoyed shopping and was an avid buyer on the QVC network.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2007, in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Flower Catholic Church "Food Pantry", 54191 N.
