Sister M. Teresita Lang CSC, 84, of Saint Mary’s Convent died there at 10 a.m. Sunday. As Maria Theresia Lang, she was born April 28, 1900 in Hochstberg, Germany, and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s Sept. 1, 1922, coming from Germany. She was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1923. She was assigned to housekeeping duties and served at St. Paul’s Convent in New York City from 1924 to 1936, and at Holy Cross Sanatorium in Deming, NM from 1936 to 1937. She was then assigned as sacristan at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where she served until 1972, when she retired to St. Mary’s Convent. She is survived by two sisters, both of West Germany.

 

Services will be at 7 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Mary’s. Friends may call anytime today in St. Mary’s Convent Parlors, where a wake service will be hled at 7:30 p.m.
