Lena Delores Lavo

SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Lena D. Lavo, 81, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in St. Anthony’s Hospital, St. Petersburg, after a brief illness. Mrs. Lave was a Grand Leader Department Store employee, retiring in 1955. Born June 15, 1893 in Culver, she had lived here most of her life, moving to Florida in 1961.

 

On Feb. 20, 1914 William Lavo, who died in 1947. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Eileen (Ranschaert) Damato and Mrs. Maxine VanTornhout both of St. Petersburg, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Chapel. Rev. Carl Lemma, pastor of the River Park United Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
