Brother Pius Leising CSC, 83, died at 3:20 p.m. Sunday in Dujarie Hosue, Holy Cross Brother Center, after an illness. He was born April 11, 1903 in Milwaukee, Wis. He is survived by a sister, Sister Petra OSF; and two brothers, Otto and Francis, both of Milwaukee, Brother Leising became a novice Aug. 15, 1934 and professed his vows in the Congregation of the Holy Cross on Aug. 16, 1935. He received certification as a watchmaker from Elgin (Ill.) Watchmaker College. He served as prefect at the University of Notre Dame and for 37 years as sacristan at the University of Portland in Oregon.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Chapel at Holy Cross  Brothers Center. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Brothers Center Chapel, where a wake service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.
