Andrew R. Leliaert, 88, formerly of South 31st Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 5:15 a.m. on Friday, May 31, in the Fountainview Place in Mishawaka, Ind. Andy was born on July 28, 1913, in Mishawaka, to the late Charles and Beatrice (Bultinck) Leliaert.

On Jan. 5, 1935, Andy married the former Carrie F. Hardy in South Bend. She preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 2000.

Andy is survived by a son, Mark A. Leliaert of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren, Carl Leliaert, Jean Roush, Karen Storer and Sue Morris; and by six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Leliaert was a 1971 retiree of UniRoyal, Inc., in Mishawaka.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Services will be in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, where friends may also visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
