Robert H. Leliaert

Robert H. Leliaert, 76, of Largo, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died after an illness on Saturday, May 8, in St. Petersburg, Fla.

 

Mr. Leliaert was born on Jan. 27, 1923, in South Bend. He was the son of the late Gustav and Martha (VandenBossche) Leliaert. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James E. (Ruby) Leliaert.

Survivors include a brother, Raymond M. (Lois) Leliaert, Sr., of South Bend; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Leliaert retired from the legal department of the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He also worked for Wheelabrator Corporation and the University of Notre Dame. He was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral. Mr. Leliaert was an Army veteran of World War II and was assigned to the headquarters company of Gen. George S. Patton.

 

The American Burial and Cremation Company of Palm Harbor, Fla., handled arrangements. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice.
