Edward M. Lemanski: (South Bend Tribune 8/13/1999)

May 27, 1925 – Aug. 12, 1999 Edward Michael Lemanski, 74, of West 15th Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away early Thursday morning, Aug. 12 at 12 a.m. in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Mr. Lemanski was born on May 27, 1925 in South Bend, Ind. as the son of the late Michael and Helen (Michalski) Lemanski. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Plencner and Josephine Lippy, a brother, Stanley Lemanski and also a grandson, Royce Patrick. Mr. Lemanski is survived by his wife, Vera (Reeder) of Mishawaka and two stepsons, John (Patti) Reeder of Osceola, Ind., and Chuck (Peggy) Reeder of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Rebecca Reeder, Charlene Reeder, Catilin Reeder, Bryan Reeder and Brenden Reeder; one sister, Irene Vegh of South Bend; and by a brother, Casimir Lemanski also of South Bend. Also surviving is an aunt, Gertrude Lemanski of South Bend. Mr. Lemanski was a United States Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a Postal Carrier for the U.S. Post Office (South Bend Branch) for thirty years from where he retired. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Halhn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, and one hour before services. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 in Good Shepard United Methodist church, 51521 Elm road, Granger, with Rev. Rob Neel officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
