Eva M. LeMay, 90, died on Sunday, Dec. 1, in the St. Joseph Medical Center, where she was hospitalized after a brief illness. She was born in Niagara, Wis., on Feb. 25, 1906, to Calixte Branconnier and Florentine (Boivin) Branconnier, who were from St. Didace, Quebec, Canada. She worked in the textile industry for many years prior to her retirement.

 

She and her husband of 65 years moved to South Bend from Woonsocket, R.I., in 1993, and resided at St. Paul's Retirement Community. In addition to her husband, Leon A. LeMay, she is survived by three sons, Dr. Ernest H. Lemay of Plattsburgh, N.Y., Robert E. LeMay of Kenneth City, Fla. and Dr. Albert H. LeMay of South Bend; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

 

Private services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Log Chapel on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, and burial will take place on Monday, Dec. 9, in Rhode Island. McGann Funeral Homes, University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road, was entrusted with the arrangements.
