Delia Lerma

SOUTH BEND - Delia Lerma, 33, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007. Delia was born January 1, 1974, to Cleofas De Leon and Carmen Franco in San Juan, TX. She was a New Years' gift for this family.

 

She married Lucio Lerma, Sr. on January 24, 1994. She was a member the Seventh Day Adventist Hispanic Church. Delia attended school in Donna, TX. She loved cooking tamales, and traveling. Delia and her family had most recently traveled to Iowa for Thanksgiving and planned to travel to Texas for Christmas. Her brothers and sisters always loved her. Juany Reyna was the oldest of the family, and was always the one that worried about the family. Cleofas Jr. is the oldest brother. He said, he loved her more than himself. Letty Burgos is the youngest of the sisters, and she said, Delia will always be in her heart day and night. Sergio is the youngest of the family. He said, he will remember Delia as someone who took care of him when he was a little child. She will always be with us in our hearts. We hope to see her again when Christ comes.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Lucio Lerma Sr.; children, Lucio Lerma Jr., Leonardo Lerma, LeeRoy Lerma and Carmen Delia Lerma; mother, Carmen Franco; sisters, San Juanita Reyna and Leticia Burgos; brothers, Cleofus De Leon and Sergio De Leon; mother-in-law, Telesfora Lerma; father-in-law, Felipe Lerma; 10 brothers and sisters in laws; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Cleofas De Leon.

 

Services for Delia Lerma were Wednesday, December 12, 2007, with visitation from 6 p.m. and funeral services at 7 p.m. in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincolnway West. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.
