Edward G. Lisek: (South Bend Tribune 8/1998)


May 13, 1923-Aug. 24, 1998 MISHAWAKA – Edward G. Lisek, 75, of Southwood Court, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, in his residence.He was born on May 13, 1923, in St. Joseph County, Ind., to Stanley F. and Mary Clara (Kowalewski) Lisek, and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Lisek was a former employee of the Studebaker Corporation and The Oliver Corporation, and retired on June 14, 1988, from Midwest Distributing after 15 years of service. He was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church, and was a former member of the Crumstown Conservation Club. Mr. Lisek is survived by his ex-wife, Norma Lisek Schall of Mishawaka; two sons, Stanley E. Lisek of Granger, Ind., and Gordon J. Lisek of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Jason Lisek and Jocelyn Lisek, both of Mishawaka; a sister, Gertrude Niespodziany of South Bend; and by a twin brother, Andrew Lisek of Crumstown. He was preceded in death by an ex-wife, Wanda Lisek. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 on Thursday in the funeral home, where a wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
