Mrs. Mary C. Lisek: (South Bend Tribune 5/26/1964)


Mrs. Mary C. Lisek, 72, of Rt. 1, North Liberty, a native of South Bend, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital after a three-month illness. Born in South Bend on Dec. 11, 1891, she was married on Feb. 12, 1918 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church to Stanley Lisek. He died Dec. 8, 1950. Mrs. Lisek is survived by two sons, Andrew and Edward, both of Crumstown; a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Niespodziany of South Bend; five grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent and Joseph Kowalewski, both of Crumstown, and four sisters, Mrs. Agnes Reiter, Mrs. Katherine Nadolny, Mrs. Lillian Ewald and Mrs. Myrtle Maciejewski, all of here. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. by members of the Legion of Mary. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Terre Coupe, with Rev. Thoma Depa, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
