Dec. 16, 1929 - May 19, 2010SOUTH BEND - Richard H. Logan, 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 19th, 2010. Richard was born on December 16, 1929, in Goshen, IN. He married Virginia Brajcki on November 22, 1951. Virginia preceded him in death in 2005. They lived all their married life in South Bend, IN. Richard served as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Witcha Falls, TX. After returning to South Bend, he worked at Wyman's and Robertson's Department stores of South Bend as credit manager and later for the Indiana Department of Transportation. Richard is survived by his son, David Logan and his wife, Jessica Logan of South Bend; and his daughter, Jeanne Logan and her husband, Leonard Vander Zee of Grand Rapids, MI. Richard is also survived by his brother, Robert Logan, and his wife, Katherine Logan of Vacaville, CA. There will a burial Mass and interment on Friday, May 28th, at The Cathedral of St. James Episcopal Church at 117 North Lafayette Blvd., South Bend, IN. Richard has been a member of the cathedral for over 50 years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Michigan, Development Department, 400 Mack Ave., Detroit, MI 48201.
