Returning from an errand of mercy, calling on sick brothers of St. Joseph Mutual Benefit Association, Henry J. Lollman, 63 years old, dropped dead at his home, 110 Towle Avenue, at 4:10 o’clock Saturday afternoon.  Mrs. Lollman, who had been calling on neighbors, followed her husband in and at once dialed a physician, but death was instantaneous.  Apoplexy was given as the cause of death.

Although Mr. Lollman had not been in the best of health, suffering from high blood pressure, he was almost daily at work at the plant of Kamm & Schellinger Company where he had been employed for 36 years. Mr. Lollman was a gigantic man and in his younger years was regarded as the strongest man, physically, in Mishawaka. It is said he could out-lift any man in northern Indiana.

He was born in Woodland, Ind. Sept. 24, 1860 and later moved with his parents to Nebraska, but came back to Mishawaka in his early 20’s and has lived here since that time, forming a wide acquaintenship. He was married to Miss Barbara in St. Joseph Church, this city, Nov. 3, 1898. She survives with the following sons and daughters, Anton, Joseph and Lawrence Lollman; Geneva and Adalaide Lollman, all at home, and Mrs. Fred of Mishawaka. He also leaves three brothers and two sisters, Jacob Lollman, Mishawaka; Tobias of O’Kene, Okla., Joseph Lollman, Fall City, Neb., Mrs Charles Waverly, Kan., and Mrs, Barbara Mishawaka; and two grand children.

He was a member of the Catholic Knights of Columbus of America No. 430; St. Joseph’s Mutual Benefit association and the Holy Name Society.

The body may be viewed at the house Monday. The funeral will be held from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning. Rev, Dean L. A.officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. The several Catholic organizations of which he was a member will attend the obsequies in a body.
