SOUTH BEND - Edwin F. Long, 67, of
Mayflower Road, South Bend, died Saturday morning in his home.
Mr. Long was born July 5, 1929, in South Bend and was a lifelong
area resident. He was employed by the postal service as a
mailcarrier for 31 years.
Mr. Long is survived by two daughters; Karen
Roberts of Mishawaka and Kathy (John) Morehouse of
Baltimore, Md., a son, Mike Strasser of California, a
step-daughter, Pam Wallace of North Liberty, a
stepgrandson, Greg Frazier of Noth Carolina; and two
sisters; Jean (Richard) Kurzhals of Saranac, Mich. and
Jane (Paul) Stone of South Bend.
There will be no visitation or service.
Cremation will take place at the St. Joseph Crematory. Mr. Long
was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Loyal Order of
the Moose Lodge 58 of South Bend and a retired member of branch
330. St. Joseph Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
