Raymond Losiniecki: (Michigan City News Dispatch 11/26/2003)


Raymond E. Losiniecki, 85, Michigan City, died at 3:50 p.m. Monday (Nov. 24, 2003) at his home. The funeral is at noon Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. Burial is in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. St. Joseph Young Men’s Society will recite the Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. He was born Jan. 13, 1918, in Michigan City to Andrew and Pauline (Kregger) Losiniecki. On June 29, 1940, in Michigan City, he married Dorothy E. Urban, who died March 2, 2000. Survivors include four daughters, Ruth Ann Losiniecki, Barbara (Richard) Craig, Joan (Thomas) Cashbaugh and Mary Jo (Dennis) Stoll, all of Michigan City; five sons, Norman (Joyce) Losiniecki, Mount Prospect, Ill., Dennis (Mary) Lawson, South Bend, James (Maria) Losiniecki, Raymond Losiniecki and John (Donna) Losiniecki, all of Michogan City; 24 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. One Brother, Edward “Washer” Losiniecki, and one sister, Lucille Lisak, preceded him in death. Mr. Losiniecki, who was retired, formerly worked at Aero-Metals, LaPorte, as a tool-and-die maker. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and St. Joseph Young Men’s Society. Memorial contributions may be made to the Share Foundation for the Handicapped, c/o the Rev. Dennis Blaney.
