Bill V. Lubelski

Bill V. Lubelski, age 75, of S. Pulaski St., South Bend, died at 8:41 p.m. Saturday in his residence.

Mr. Lubelski was born February 14, 1923, in South Bend, to Frank and Sophie Lubelski, and was a lifelong area resident. He was a former employee of the Studebaker Corporation for 23 years, and was a former employee of Cummins Engines. He retired in 1976 from the Allied Corporation.

 

On January 17, 1942, at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, in South Bend, he married Irene Ilczak, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Sylvia (Joseph) Bognar of South Bend; four grandchildren, Laura (Tim) Ciesialka of South Bend, Daniel Bognar of South Bend, Julie Bognar of Plymouth, Indiana, and Lisa Bognar of South Bend; and two great-grandchildren, Allisha Ciesialka and Phillip Ciesialka, both of South Bend.

 

Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday for Mass at St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Lubelski was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of the St. Joseph Young Men's Society and Disabled American Veterans Post #39.
