Beloved wife, mother and friend to all, Nancy E. (Sinkiewicz) Ludwig, 51, of Timberline Trace, Granger, passed away in her home on Thursday, Oct. 14, following a lengthy illness. She was born on Nov. 20, 1947, in South Bend, Ind., to Edward and Marie (Markanich) Sinkiewicz. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; and by her brother, William Sinkiewicz.

On July 29, 1968, in Mishawaka, Ind., she married Michael R. Ludwig, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Edward (Bridget) of Granger and William (Lisa) of Mishawaka; a daughter Andrea (Jeff) Stapleton of Havelock, N.C.; her mother, Marie; and by a sister, Sue Ellen Smith of LaPorte. She was a past president, vice president and contract negotiator for the Mishawaka Educational Association. Mrs. Ludwig was also active in many community projects, such as helping with the Valmeyer, Ill. Flood Relief. As a teacher at Hums, she assisted with the outdoor education program at Camp Eberhart on Corey Lake in Three Rivers, Mich., for 18 years. Mrs. Ludwig devoted all of her time, attention and resources to her school children, friends and family. We were all very blessed to have been touched by her love, generosity and kindness. She will be missed very deeply by all.
