SOUTH BEND - Ruth Alda Lugar, 94, passed away at 7 p.m. on
Friday, October 24, 2008, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka.
Mrs. Lugar was born on October 8, 1914, in Graceton, PA, to the
late James and Mamie (Lamereau) Wright. She had
lived in South Bend since 1942, moving from Springfield, OH. On
March 21, 1938, in Covington, KY, she married Floyd R. Lugar, who
preceded her in death. One son, Gordon E. Lugar, seven brothers
and sisters have all preceded her in death. Mrs. Lugar is
survived by her daughter, Joyce E. Lugar-Pinner of
Rockwall, TX; three grandchildren, Staci Brettin of
Osceola, IN, Richard Pinner of Sacshe, TX, and Lisa Pinner of
Royse City, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Zachary
Pinner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family after 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Ruth A.
