MISHAWAKA - Harriet M. Luke, 78, of
Newburgh, Ind., formerly of Mishawaka, died Monday in her home
after an illness. Mrs. Luke retired from the U.S. Department of
Agriculture as a secretary. She was born Jan. 16, 1916, in
Mishawaka.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford H.
Luke of Newburgh; three daughters, Cherie Ashburn of North
Adams, Mass., Charlotte Webber of Newburgh, and Jean Holsworth
of Houston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Clara Luke of South Bend and Tess Webber of
Newburgh; and a brother, Hart Baugher of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Zion United Church of Christ, Newburgh. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Koehler Funeral Home, Boonville, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Evansville, Ind.
