Brother Hilary Lux CSC, 77, of Dujarie House at Notre Dame, died Thursday in the Dujarie House Infirmary at the Holy Cross Brothers Center, Notre Dame, after a long illness. He was born June 15, 1902 in Chicago, and lived there until 1916, when he enrolled in Sacred Heart Juniorate High School in Watertown, Wis. He entered the Order of the Holy Cross Brothers in 1920 and attended the Dujarie Institute at Notre Dame, professing his final vows on June 25, 1925. He received an A.B. degreein 1930 and an M.A. degree in 1939 from Notre Dame. He attended Gregg College from 1940 to 1942. For 33 years he taught commercial studies, history and English in Holy Cross schools all over the country. His last assignment was at Dujarie House.

 

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of St. Joseph on the Holy Cross Junior College campus. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call until 7:30 p.m. today in the chapel where a wake service will be conducted at 7:30.
