Paul R. Luzney

Paul R. Luzney, 75, of Woodbine Way in South Bend, Ind., died on Tuesday, June 22, 1999.

Mr. Luzney was born on April 29, 1924, in South Bend, to Raymond R. and Wanda (Janowski) Luzney.

 

On Dec. 31, 1949, in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mishawaka, Ind., he married Lorraine Ling, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Linda K. Youngblood of Bradenton, Fla.; a son, Kenneth P. Luzney of South Bend; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Joan Mahin of Oxnard, Calif.

 

He was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific. He was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict as an instructor. He retired from Allied/Bendix in 1985 after 35 years of service. Mr. Luzney was a past president and life member of the Bendix Retired Salaried Employees Club, a life member of the Marine Corps Aviation Association, a life member of the National Management Association, a member of the American Legion and V.F.W., and he attended Tri-State University in Angola, Ind.

 

Cremation will take place with inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, June 25, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
