Homer L. Lycan

Homer L. "John" Lycan, 66, of 25th Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:42 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind.

 

He was born in Lesage, W.Va., on April 22, 1933, and had lived in this area since 1962, coming from West Virginia.

 

John retired in 1996 from John's Garage which he owned and operated. He was an Army veteran, and belonged to the Pentecostal Church of God in Mishawaka.

 

He married the former Adrian Conner on Nov. 18, 1953, in Huntington, W.Va. She survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Meshell Lycan of Rochester, Ind.; three sisters, Wilma Creech and Ethel Scarberry, both of South Bend, and Dorothy Miller of Lesage; four brothers, Charles Conner of Proctorville, Ohio, Paul Conner of Mishawaka, Chester M. Conner of South Bend and Everett Conner of Westville, Fla.; and by many nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Feb. 27, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, in the Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio.
