Mrs. Myrtle Maciejewski: (South Bend Tribune 2/15/1982)


Mrs. Myrtle E. Maciejewski, 79, of 58413 Crumstown Hwy., died at 4 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after a brief illness. She was retired owner-operator of the Maciejewski Locker Plant. Born on Dec. 21, 1902 in Crumstown, she had lived in this area all her life. On Sept. 26, 1923, in South Bend, she married Edmund Maciejewski Sr. He died in 1976. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marge Horvath of Crumstown, Mrs. Theresa Barilich and Mrs. Cecelia Sidorowicz, both of South Bend; a son, Edmund Jr. of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Rev. Daniel Durkin, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today by the Rosary Society, of which she was a member. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was also a member of the Harvest House and the Legion of Mary of the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
