Sister Gertrudina CSC, 81, of St. Mary’s Convent died there Thursday evening after a lengthy illness. Born March 10, 1893 in Simpson, Minn. as Eva Gertrude Mackin, sher entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Jan. 6, 1915, coming from Rochester, Minn. She was received as a novice Aug. 5, 1915 and made her profession of vows Aug. 15, 1917. She was assigned to housekeeping duties at Holy Cross Academy, Dunbarton College, Washington DC and St. Mary’s Academy, Salt Lake City, before coming to St. Mary’s Convent in 1969.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlors.
