Victor L. Maggioli

MISHAWAKA - Victor L. Maggioli, 83, passed away Tuesday at 4 p.m. in his residence. Mr. Maggioli was born on Nov. 4, 1913 in Santarcangelo, Italy and came to this country as a small child. On Jan. 16, 1937 in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka he married Elsie Maenhout.

She survives him, along with one daughter Janice (Joseph) Goossens of Cassopolis, Mich; two sons Dennis (Veronica) Maggioli of Mishawaka, and Keith (Pamela) Maggioli of Lilburn, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Karen Radde of Mishawaka, Gregg Maggioli of Bakerfield, Calif., Kevin Maggioli of Avon, Ohio, Jeff Maggioli of Lafayette, Ind., Christina Maggioli and Niccolo Maggioli, both of Lilburn, Ga., Jamie Gilbert of Chicago, Ill., Jackie Noll of Fishers, Ind., and Joel Goossen of Weston, Fla.; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Achille (Chick) Maggioli of Mishawaka; two sisters, Catherine Gorman of Wilmington, Dela. and Annette Linson of Mishawaka. One sister, Helen Baldini preceded him in death.

Mr. Maggioli was employed by Art Mosaic for 20 years and retired in 1979. He was a Charter member of the DeAmicis Club, Mishawaka, a member of St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka where he was an usher for many, many years.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka with Rev. James Shafer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, where a Wake Prayers will be recited at 4 p.m.
