Mishawaka  Enterprise, June 9, 1938

 

Mrs. Anna Giel Mahler, aged 75, of 224 E. Seventh street, died at 11:40 o'clock Monday morning in St. Joseph hospital, after an illness of two months. Mrs Mahler was born Feb. 19, 1863, in this city, and had spent her lifetime in this county. Her husband Melvin Mahler, died nine year ago. Surviving are seven sons, Charles J., Marvin H., and Lawrence L. Mahler of this city. Fred and Frank Mahler of St. Mary's Academy. Holy Cross Ind., and Michael Mahler of Rolling Stone, Minn., ; four daughters, Sister M. Clemens, of East Chicago, IN. Sister M. Camilla, of Aviston, IL., Mrs. Rose Casper of this city, and Mrs. Roy Themmes of ST. Paul Min.; a brother, John Giel of Mishawaka and a sister Josephine  Giel of Avilla, IN.,  The funeral took place this morning in St. Monica's Roman Catholic church, the Rev. Anthony Badina officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.
