Ms Mia Patrice (Curry) Malone, 39,
passed away after a long illness at 6:55 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5,
in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Ind. She was born on March
13, 1961, and was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She was
preceded in death by her father, Mr. Arthur K. Curry. She
was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a
homemaker, and a member of First A.M.E. Zion Church. She
graduated from John Adams High School in 1980. She leaves behind
four children, Gary McNary, Brien King and
LaShawndra McNary of South Bend, and Elonda Bracey of
Atlanta, Ga. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Irene Curry
of South Bend; four sisters, Mary Jo Jones of Kentucky,
Brenda Jones, Jeanie Fleming of California and Beverly
Jones of South Bend; four brothers, Bernard Jones, Ernie Anderson
and Eric Curry of South Bend, and Toby Jones of California; and a
host of family and friends who will miss her deeply.
Viewing was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, in the Clark- O'Neal Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 9, in the First A.M.E. Zion Church, 801 N. Eddy Street, with Rev. Timothy Rouse officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home.
