Sister M. Macaria CSC, 76, died at 7 a.m. today in the community infirmary at St. Mary’s Convent. She was born as Elizabeth Mandeville on Jan. 14, 1871 in Jacksonville. Ill. She was at the community for at least 49 years. In 1898 she received her holy habit, and was professed into the order in 1903.

A requiem mass will be said at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Immaculate Conception at St. Mary’s. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in the community cemetery.
